Art Therapy

Instructor(s)

Cori Devlin, MA, RCC and RCAT is a Psychotherapist and Expressive Arts Therapist in private practice, she has a life long passion for sharing the ways in which actualizing our creative imagination can function as a bridge to access and explore deep and often unconscious aspects of our inner life. Her work is oriented towards Depth Psychology and the Mythopoetic traditions that recognize the profound role stories, myths, dreams and the symbolic language of the soul have in guiding and giving voice to the psyche. Recently Cori has been exploring ways in which psychedelic preparation and integration can be supported by engagement in art making. Her love of open studio art therapy models has been reignited by offering a weekly online space dedicated to the integration of holotropic journey work through the expressive arts. In addition to individual psychotherapy Cori has facilitated groups in various corporate and non-profit settings, always with an emphasis on art based experiential learning and care for the soul. In the past decade Cori has also taught graduate courses in Art Therapy and continues to provide clinical supervision. Cori began her training in Grof Psychedelic Training Academy in the Fall of 2024, she immediately felt at home and was delighted to discover many historical threads of her education and personal development were woven together seamlessly into a beautiful tapestry within the training, there was an immediate and profound appreciation and respect for the depth and breadth of Stanislov Grof’s work. In her free time you will find Cori playing in the mud either in her clay studio or out in the garden. She also has a love of dancing in all it’s many forms and settings. If none of that is going on you will find her curled up with her Bernese Mountain dog Grace, a cup of tea and a good book! Cori is honored to be supporting this retreat as an apprentice and is committed to holding space with deep respect, empathy and attunement for each person’s unique experience. She recognizes the sacred and transformational power of holotropic states and is dedicated to being of service to others in a way that supports connection to their inner healing intelligence and feels privileged to share this time together.
